My name is Chang (Amy) Lu, and I’m a first-year PhD student in the Department of Cognitive and Psychological Sciences at Brown University. I work in the Mind and Morality Lab under the guidance of Dr. Julia Marshall, where we explore how cooperation and morality develop and are sustained across different cultures.
Before starting my PhD, I graduated from Boston College with majors in Psychology and Communication. During my time there, I worked with Dr. Katherine McAuliffe in the Cooperation Lab, where my research primarily focused on understanding the mechanisms that maintain cooperation in social groups.
For my academic interests, the Research Interests page lists what I’ve been working on. Outside of research, I enjoy photography, drawing, and some other fun stuff. You can check out some of my non-academic work on the Gallery page.
